In our pursuit of sustainability, we focus on minimizing negative impacts on the environment across various dimensions.

Carbon Footprint:

• In 2022, we diligently tracked our carbon footprint, emitting 4,497 tons of CO2.
• With an average of 3,873 employees during this period, our per-employee carbon emissions stood at an impressive 1.1 tons.

Renewable Energy:

• We actively embraced renewable energy sources, with 3.0% of our electricity at our Neenah, WI, headquarters sourced from wind and solar panels in 2021.

Recycling e-Waste:

• Partnering with Iron Mountain, we responsibly recycled electronic devices, receiving a certificate of recycling for all corporate-wide electronic waste disposal.

Paper Conservation:

• Through our collaboration with Iron Mountain, our Green Report for 2022 revealed that we recycled 18.77 metric tons of shredded paper, saving 320 trees, 131,400 gallons of water, and 62 cubic yards of landfill space.

Facility Sustainability:

• Our new Fort Myers building, designed with sustainability in mind, resulted in significant savings: 328,589 gallons of water, 979,042 Kw of energy, 8,000 pounds of pollutants, and 1,000 cubic yards of construction waste diverted from landfills.

Innovative GLAS Tower:

• Our Philippines offices at the GLAS Tower boast sustainable features, including double-glazed, triple low-e high-performing glass windows, a rainwater harvesting system, and ample bicycle parking spaces to promote eco-friendly transportation.

Social Impact:

Our commitment to social responsibility extends to positively impacting the communities we serve.

Community Engagement:

• Our participation in the United Way Fox Cities annual fundraising campaign in 2022 saw a remarkable 60% employee participation rate, contributing over $300,000 annually and totaling over $3.6 million in all-time contributions.

As the clock struck noon, the mouthwatering aromas from seven vibrant food trucks filled the air. Our employees received tickets courtesy of Alta Resources to enjoy delicious dishes from these culinary wizards. With options ranging from sizzling tacos to gourmet burgers and refreshing treats to scrumptious desserts, there was something for every palate.

Laughter and chatter filled the air as the party unfolded. A cool beverage in hand, our employees danced to the rhythm of DJ Mando’s live music, celebrating both a successful past and a promising future. DJ Mando’s vibrant tunes and cheerful atmosphere turned our celebration into a true Floridian fiesta.

The fun didn’t stop with just great food and music. The day was filled with excitement as employees engaged in thrilling tournaments and games. Some chose to challenge their skills solo, while others formed dynamic teams. From friendly competition to strategic gameplay, there was a game for everyone.

In addition to the games, anticipation filled the air with the promise of raffle draws. Prizes ranging from gift cards to exciting gadgets and more were up for grabs. Each ticket held the promise of a delightful surprise, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration.

Our celebration featured a world of games for everyone to enjoy. From friendly matches of cornhole to fast-paced foosball games, arcade classics that brought back memories, and oversized versions of favorite games like Connect 4. The festivities extended to the pool table and shuffleboard, where skills were put to the test.

As the sun began to set on this unforgettable day, we raised our glasses to a decade of growth, camaraderie, and achievement. Our Florida office has been a testament to dedication and teamwork, and the celebration was a reminder of what we can accomplish together.

This fantastic day was a heartfelt thank you to our employees, whose unwavering commitment and hard work have been the driving force behind our success in Florida. The Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah, WI, hosted our latest Ace of Spades event on March 8th. We celebrated the achievements of 93 amazing employees from 31 different teams, awarding them for their exceptional work and dedication to Alta Resources. We’re so proud of you all!

California Winners

On March 16th, we held our California Ace of Spades event at The RANCH Restaurant and Saloon, honoring 21 ACE recipients. The celebration included dinner, a DJ, and country music and dancing downstairs at the RANCH Saloon. Congratulations to our talented California team members on their well-deserved recognition!

We held our Ace of Spades event at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Manila on April 16, where we celebrated the accomplishments of 77 outstanding individuals. Our family grew as we welcomed BRM.

Earlier this year, BRM, a Colombia-based full-service BPO solutions provider, joined the Alta team. Its founders, Juan Pablo Serrano and Pilar Jaramillo, built BRM to be a leading provider of customer experience solutions and digital marketing services in South America since 2005.

BRM impressed us for many reasons, but what really solidified our decision was their proven track record of prioritizing employee engagement and excellence in serving clients. Their “relationships are everything” approach to business assured us BRM would be a great addition to our organization.

Juan Pablo and Pilar, along with senior leadership, will remain with Alta and provide important continuity of leadership and continued success.

After impressive Gallup Q12 survey results in 2021, Alta team members showed up even more impressively in 2022! And not just a little—they broke records in every category. Here are a few highlights:

• 91% Survey Participation Rate: Gallup considers anything above 85% to be best practice.
• For the first time ever, the grand mean score for each of the 12 survey questions increased, and each scored in the 50-74th percentile amongst Gallup’s entire database of almost 5,000 clients!
• Alta achieved a ratio of 13 engaged employees to every one disengaged employee (13:1)—only one point away from reaching Gallup’s World Class engagement score.

This is undoubtedly an achievement that speaks to the hard work, dedication, and laser focus of every employee to help make Alta a workplace destination, and we are so grateful for their commitment to this goal—we believe it has everything to do with the success of the next heartwarming story.

Like proud parents showcasing their refrigerator art, we couldn’t be prouder of our employees and our engagement efforts being recognized.

To be acknowledged for our mission-driven efforts is exciting; it’s another thing when it comes from not one, but two, elite leaders in their own rite—Forbes and Gallup.

Alta was named to Forbes’ 2022 List for Best Mid-Sized Employers second year in a row. In addition, Alta is also ranked 21^st out of 75 on the list of Best Wisconsin Employers. Making the Forbes list is a privilege in itself, but the true honor is in knowing our employees put Alta on that list.

Gallup has also taken note, utilizing Alta as a case study, multiple times, of what a successful employee engagement initiative looks like. On every occasion, Gallup highlighted not only Alta’s impressive survey results, but the various methods in which Alta has taken Gallup’s best practice techniques and made them their own.

It’s no secret we take engagement seriously; our employees are both our greatest asset and our secret weapon. Without them, none of these meaningful stories would exist.

We can celebrate our teams’ victories in person again, thankfully.

For the first time since 2019, Alta can continue its esteemed, long-held annual tradition of a night of gratitude, recognition, and celebration for a distinguished group of agents who surpassed expectations. Ace of Spades, the top tier of a three-tier recognition program at Alta, celebrates the top 10% of the organization, who are personally selected for the honor based on certain performance and character-based criteria. We know our employees feel valued when they see their hard work pay off and can be recognized in front of their leaders and peers, so to say we’re excited to celebrate our team in person again is an understatement!

We’re perpetually committed to strengthening the ways we support our work family.

Each year, we derive feedback from the Gallup Q12 employee engagement survey on where or how we can strengthen our relationships with our team members. There was an opportunity to enhance growth and education opportunities, and the timing was right to next-level our learning management system. Alta AcadeMe Learning and Development Center was launched, and it will serve as a dynamic hub for team and individual training and coaching. We’re excited to see it more fully come to life in 2023.

They say it takes a village…and the village keeps showing up.

Multiple communities that Alta calls home, and the residents in them, took devastating hits from Mother Nature this past year. In the Philippines, Super Typhoon Rai (Odette) left hundreds of thousands of residents homeless in late 2021, and roughly a dozen Alta employees were left to pick up the pieces along with their friends and families. In southwest Florida in September, Hurricane Ian became one of the most catastrophic natural disasters Florida has ever seen. The amount of damage that community experienced may take years to rebuild from, and all 800 Alta employees were impacted. In November, Hurricane Lisa swept through Belize with high-speed winds and massive flooding. Most of our employees temporarily lost electricity but were fortunately otherwise safe.

What makes this story special is that when one of our communities endures adversity, we all feel it. Employees across the globe rallied around each other with fervor and deep compassion, helping fellow colleagues in times of great need. Employee Relief Funds were created to help those deeply impacted by the devastation to help lift them up. It’s a true love story that entails the mindset “it takes a village.” Together, Alta employees persevered and demonstrated what it looks like when co-workers become family. We couldn’t be prouder of the Alta team.

We celebrated a client anniversary for the record books.

Whenever a client chooses Alta, we value that decision immensely because we know they have options, and we are the choice they make. We take each relationship very seriously, and we do our best to deliver on our promises day in and day out, so they never have to question their decision.

This year, we salute a client who has chosen Alta over and over again since our relationship began 40 years ago. Read that again! Milestones like that are rare in any industry, and it doesn’t happen without mutual trust, respect, and commitment. So, thank you—you know who you are—for a wonderful 40 years. And thank you to all our clients—whether you’ve been with us for 40 years or one year—we appreciate your continued trust in Alta.

There were many reasons to celebrate in 2022, and just as many to reflect on and count our blessings. All in all, 2022 was a great reminder that business is just business without the people who make it worthwhile. It takes a village, and if you treat people right, the village keeps showing up.

Collecting and delivering gifts for children and teens in foster care has been an annual event since 2017. LaKesha Stone, a customer service rep, brought forth the idea and it was embraced with open hearts. She saw the need firsthand; her adult daughter works at the Children’s Network of SWFL. Over the years, the number of kids being provided for has expanded and the number of gifts each one receives has also increased. “This is one of my absolute favorite things that Alta does on a yearly basis. I grew up in the foster system. I cannot tell you how much it means to receive a gift from a stranger, especially during the holidays, when in that environment & situation, one can feel especially lonely,” said Jadon Nagle, a Parts Expediting Analyst. In the last six years, we’ve been able to brighten the holidays for nearly 150 kids!

For the past few weeks, a Christmas tree was on display in our Fort Myers front lobby with dozens of glass ornaments containing the names and ages of the girls and boys. Gift ideas for the children and teens included Barbie dolls, Lego sets, ear buds, sports equipment and gift cards. In addition to this year’s Wish ornaments, they also collected deodorants, soaps and other personal hygiene products for the children and teens in foster care.

The people at our Fort Myers continue to embody the very essence of our community outreach program, AltaHOPE: Helping Others Prevail Everywhere. By raising their hands and asking how they can help, they are advocating for those in our community and making a difference in the lives of those around us. We are proud to have so many generous hearts at Alta Resources.
